Job Summary Join our construction team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and be home every night! In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles to ensure timely and safe deliveries of construction materials. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service while staying close to home. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations efficiently and accurately across various routes. Load and unload freight, including use of boom trucks, dump trailers, van trailers, and carry-all trailers following proper handling procedures. Deliver freight to jobsites on time while maintaining professional communication throughout the delivery process. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Ensure proper documentation for freight handling, including load manifests, delivery receipts, and safety records. Follow all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, and compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across diverse terrains. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely. Experience with logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures. Strong adherence to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) policies. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently on local routes while maintaining high safety standards.
