Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver/ Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks and assist with various construction tasks, ensuring efficient project progress and adherence to safety standards. Your energetic approach and mechanical aptitude will help keep our operations running smoothly while contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team dedicated to excellence in construction utility work, excavation, paving, and site development. Duties Safely operate Class A commercial dump trucks for hauling materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction supplies across job sites. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on trucks and construction machinery, including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, water trucks, and tankers. Assist with excavation activities using equipment like backhoes, excavators, bulldozers (dozers), to prepare sites for paving or utility installation. Support construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized tools and following federal safety regulations to prevent accidents. Participate in construction grading, site cleanup, and general labor tasks to facilitate smooth project workflow. Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with crew members on paving projects, or other specialized tasks requiring heavy equipment operation. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving within construction or related industries. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience operating loaders, excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, , water trucks, tankers, backhoes, and skidsteers. Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Construction experience involving utility locating, excavation, grading, paving, or site development is highly preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations applicable to heavy equipment operation and utility work is essential.
