POSITION SUMMARY
This position drives minibus or van to transport base customers to and from base work sites in accordance to assigned schedule. This worker may operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service, clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories; keep records of trips, and perform other duties when not driving as custodial and building maintenance tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS
Follow safety rules as passenger's board and exit van near stops. Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Check the condition of vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order. Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs. Pick up and drop off passengers at regularly scheduled on site locations, following strict time schedules. Maintain knowledge of firstaid procedures Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, or fuel consumption. Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort. Keep vehicles' interiors clean for passengers. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones, mobile twoway radios.
