Basic Job Description:
The Transport Driver plays a key role in our work of transporting clients to needed care within and outside our contracted area. They are often the only in-person representative of the company, providing excellent customer service to facility staff, clients and family members in a mental health setting.MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS, 4DAYS ON, 4 DAYS OFF

- Long
- and short-distance driving, coordinating routes and schedules with dispatchers.
- Retrieve and secure clients and personal belongings for trip to destination facility.
- Maintain detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and company policies, submitting monthly to Field Supervisor.
- Ensure mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected promptly, reporting defects, accidents, and violations immediately.
- Perform daily maintenance of vehicle (refueling, cleaning, snacks/water, etc.)
- Interact with facility staff, clients, and family members in a professional manner.
- Address problems and create solutions, collaborating with Dispatcher and elevating problems to Field Supervisor when necessary.
- Enter data into Samsara system, maintain logs of calls, incidents, miles driven and more, submitting reports monthly to Field Supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Field Supervisors to update and maintain a list of facility contacts.
- Drive excellence by creating efficiencies that will reduce the arrival time for transports (under the 2-hour maximum).
