Operator / Plant Manager Job Summary We are currently hiring 5 dependable and safety-focused Concrete Mixer Truck Drivers to join our ready-mix concrete team. This position is responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. Drivers must provide professional customer service, follow delivery instructions, and help ensure concrete is delivered safely, on time, and in proper condition. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and traffic laws. Deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites according to dispatch instructions. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned truck. Check tires, brakes, fluids, lights, chute, drum, and safety equipment. Wash down truck, drum, and chutes after deliveries to prevent concrete buildup. Communicate with dispatch, plant personnel, contractors, and customers in a professional manner. Follow proper procedures for loading, mixing, transporting, and unloading concrete. Safely position truck at job sites, including backing into tight or uneven areas when required. Complete delivery tickets, inspection reports, and required paperwork accurately. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, job site hazards, or customer concerns to management. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned truck. Follow all company safety rules and PPE requirements. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required. Clean or acceptable driving record. Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check. Previous ready-mix, dump truck, tanker, or heavy truck driving experience preferred. Must be dependable and able to report to work on time. Ability to work safely in construction zones and changing weather conditions. Strong communication skills and a professional attitude. Ability to work early mornings, overtime, Saturdays, and flexible hours as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to climb in and out of truck cab multiple times per day. Ability to lift, carry, and move chutes and other equipment as needed. Ability to work outside in heat, cold, rain, and dusty conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the shift. Preferred Experience Ready-mix concrete delivery experience. Knowledge of concrete slump, washout procedures, and job site safety. Familiarity with DOT regulations. Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to identify truck maintenance issues. Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Schedule may include early mornings, overtime, and occasional Saturday work depending on customer demand and weather conditions. Compensation Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, uniforms, and company training.
