Job Description

Driver / CNA - Full-Time | $2,500 Sign-On Bonus El Reno Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Driver/CNA to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments, activities, and other scheduled destinations. When not transporting, the Driver/CNA will work on the floor in the CNA role and assist with resident care. Responsibilities Assist residents with getting ready for scheduled appointments and ensure they are prepared to leave the facility on time. Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and other designated locations in a punctual and timely manner. Safely operate the facility vehicle in varying weather, traffic, and road conditions and appropriately respond to driving hazards. Escort residents to and from appointments and assist them throughout the transportation process as needed. Provide transportation for occasional resident activities and outings. Assist residents with entering and exiting the facility vehicle, including residents who use wheelchairs or other mobility equipment. Ensure residents are safely secured with seatbelts and that wheelchairs are properly secured before transportation. Coordinate resident drop-off and pick-up times with nursing staff. Perform required vehicle inspections before driving and report any safety or maintenance concerns. Maintain required transportation and driving logs. Keep the facility vehicle clean, organized, and secure. Provide assistance, comfort, and support to residents during transportation. Transport resident belongings, medical equipment, supplies, and other items as needed. Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Follow facility policies and all applicable state and federal regulations. Participate in required training, education, in-services, and facility meetings. Be available for early-morning and late-evening transports when resident appointments require transportation outside of normal daytime hours. When there are no scheduled transports, work as a CNA on the floor and assist with resident care. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Must meet facility and insurance requirements for operating a facility vehicle. CPR/BLS certification required. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to safely assist residents with transfers, personal care, wheelchairs, mobility equipment, and transportation needs. Ability to safely drive in varying weather, traffic, and road conditions. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers. Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently. Schedule This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday. The daily schedule will vary based on resident appointments and transportation needs. Applicants must have flexibility for early-morning and late-evening transports when needed. Occasional weekend or holiday transportation may be required based on resident needs. When there are no scheduled transports, the employee will work as a CNA on the floor and assist with resident care. Sign-On Bonus This position is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
