//www.smashmytrash.com/smash-videos/ The Role We are seeking a Truck Driver/Smash Operator to join our Smash My Trash team! You will be responsible for safely operating one of our Smash Trucks on a daily local route. Our Smash Trucks are state of the art and outfitted with a 3-ton rolling drum on a boom that you operate to pulverize the contents of open-top waste containers (dumpsters), requiring your ability to operate the equipment at each customer's facility. We're looking for part-time drivers/operators. Mechanical knowledge is a plus! You will be- Driving our 25,000-pound truck on a specific route of customers each day of the week and smashing down the trash in their dumpsters.
- Skillfully operating the hydraulic machine equipment in order to smash our clients' trash.
- Follow all quality control procedures to ensure our customers are happy with the service you provide.
- Maintain our truck and equipment by reporting any issues or incidents to dispatch, inspecting the truck before and after each trip, and keeping the truck clean inside and out and performing light maintenance. What we are looking for
- Current Driver's License. CDL preferred, NOT required.
- Clean MVR
- 2+ years previous experience in driving trucks of similar size, heavy equipment operation, or other related fields
- At least a high school diploma and a degree from the school of hard knocks.
- Able to handle a physical workload.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, hydraulic knowledge even better.
- Someone with a strong work ethic and can stick to a route schedule in a timely and safe way.
- Desire to impress our customers and prospects with your professionalism and smashing techniques (to be taught)
- Must have and be skilled with a smartphone and able to use our apps to track routes and complete work activities
- Is willing to participate in a background check and drug screen. What we offer
- Strong base pay. Rate based on previous experience.
- Commissions and bonuses may be available for referral activities and contributing to successful demonstrations that result in closed business.
