Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team to work with a well known high profile Brand Name client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, excellent route navigation skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. Duties Operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and tractor-trailers, to transport freight to various locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials during transit. Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and company procedures. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles. Familiarity with load unloading procedures and freight handling. Ability to operate Moffet Forklift. Strong route driving skills with knowledge of local roadways. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
