Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting shavings, sawdust, woodchips and barks safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all driving regulations. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and moving floor delivery trucks, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. Duties Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of materials. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle. Handle any necessary paperwork related to deliveries and pickups. Requirements Valid commercial Class A driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. MUST drive manual transmission trucks. Experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles. Familiarity with operating a loader is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is advantageous. Ability to operate various types of trucks, including tractor trailer set up as well as AG style delivery trucks. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transportation. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
