This position is ideal for drivers looking for flexible work opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to work on a dedicated, weekly basis, providing vital transportation services across regional routes. You'll be the backbone of our delivery network, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient freight movement while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Schedule Monday-Thursday weekly afternoon/evening shift Regional route within OR Home daily Responsibilities Operate a commercial truck and trailer safely and in compliance with all DOT and state/federal regulations Cover routes on short notice when regular drivers are unavailable, or when we have extra loads Drive route-specific deliveries and pickups across different locations, adhering to schedules and safety protocols Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries or resolve issues promptly Assist with other transportation-related tasks such as taking the truck to the shop for routine maintenance and repairs Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record Minimum of 1 year Class A experience Experience operating manual transmission trucks is preferred but not required Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery, including route driving and load & unload procedures Familiarity with various types of trailers such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is advantageous Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving Knowledge of truck maintenance is a plus Strong communication skills and a flexible schedule to accommodate on-call shifts as needed Clean driving record - no accidents, moving violations or tickets within the past 2 years
