We serve a diverse community, offering vital mobility options that promote independence, health, and community engagement for individuals of all ages and abilities. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and responsible CDL Transit Driver to join our team! In this role, you will operate various types of paratransit vehicles—to safely transport passengers throughout Benton County. Hours will be Monday through Friday between 9am and 7pm . Your role is essential in ensuring passenger safety, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining transportation safety regulations. Duties Safely operate transit vehicles such as motor coaches, school buses, shuttle vans, and paratransit vehicles following all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety and proper maintenance Assist passengers with boarding, including those with special needs or requiring passenger assistance Navigate city streets efficiently ensuring timely arrivals and departures Communicate effectively with dispatch via two-way radios for driver updates or emergencies Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and transportation safety regulations at all times Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly attitude and addressing passenger questions or concerns professionally Requirements Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement. Must be at least 23 years of age, with at least 3 years of driving experience. Must be able to pass a federal background check. Must be able to pass a drug screen, including marijuana.
Pay:
From $26.50 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
