Job Description

We have been providing extraordinary transportation for our clients for 7+ years and we take pride in providing best in class service on every ride. With the increased volume of clients we are looking for exceptional drivers to join our team.
Position Summary:
As a ReadyRide driver you are responsible for driving our company vehicle to and from skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, clients homes, and other facilities. You will maintain the vehicle and equipment, perform pre trip and post trip checks, and stock vehicle supplies. In this position as driver you act as the face of ReadyRide when on shift. Provide the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers. Transport clients to appointments and back home or other medical facilities Ensures all ambulatory passengers and wheelchairs are properly secured before starting the vehicle. On arrival at the destination, assist clients in exiting the vehicle and reaching the proper office or treatment areas. Check the vehicle to ensure that no personal items are left behind. Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures. Operate company provided mobile device, electronic manifest and GPS unit. Follow safe loading and unloading procedures using company standards. Maintain appropriate logs/records. Maintain clean and efficient equipment. Possess a friendly and courteous attitude when transporting clients.
Required Minimum Education/Experience:
Driving experience of 3 years 21 years of age Hold a current valid Class C driver's license and have an excellent driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, MVR screening, and background check. Report to work on time and in proper uniform. Maintain a strong attendance record. Safely operate a wheelchair van or stretcher van. Must be reliable and capable of working independently. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be flexible to work early morning, mid-morning, or late evening hours.
Wage/Benefits:
A full time driver makes $40,000 - $51,000 in their first year. $17.00/hr for training period (2-3 weeks); $17.50/hr for 1st 90 days; $18.00-$21.00 depending on advancement. Vacation Time (10 paid days off for full time employees), Sick time (5 sick days per year for full time employees), 6 paid Holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas), Medical Insurance after 90 days, and Retirement Plan with company match after 1st 90 days.
Abilities and Skills:
Ability to quickly learn routing technology. Excellent judgment and ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests calmly and effectively. Good reasoning ability. Detail-oriented. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures (preferred). Promptness, empathy, and genuine interest as perceived by patients, co-workers, and staff. Ability to assess patient needs during transport. Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions. Flexible to changing work priorities/schedules.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently. Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending. The employee must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
