You'll help residents get to and from destinations safely, assist with mobility as needed, and provide a friendly, professional presence for our community. What You'll Do Transport residents safely in compliance with all state and federal driving regulations Communicate professionally with residents, families, community staff, and medical offices Inform residents and staff of pick-up and drop-off times for appointments and activities Follow scheduled routes with minimal changes; provide reminders to residents as needed Assist residents on and off vehicles using lifts, stairs, wheelchairs, and walkers safely Ensure all assistive devices are secured before vehicle departure Help residents with belongings, opening doors, and other mobility assistance during outings Maintain resident rosters and account for all residents during trips Respond promptly to accidents or emergencies according to established protocols Maintain vehicle inspections, license plates, insurance, and ensure timely preventative maintenance Foster teamwork, take initiative, and support coworkers, residents, and visitors Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED Prior experience working with older adults preferred Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required Must be 18 years or older Meet health requirements including TB clearance Pass state-required fingerprinting and criminal background check Compassion for and desire to work with older adults Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow instructions and safely assist residents Familiarity with vehicle operation and basic maintenance logging Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance Ability to talk, hear, and use vision effectively Occasional weekend, evening, or night work and on-call as needed Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and other hazards Ability to lift and assist residents as needed, up to 50 lbs occasionally Frequent interaction with coworkers, residents, and vendors Join Milestone to provide safe, reliable transportation for our residents and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
