Truck Driver (Commercial Drivers License A)

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 53ft tractor-trailer to transport freight primarily to the New Jersey and New York area , ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while maintaining the highest safety standards and operational efficiency. You will primarily run the same route each day, returning home every day as well. Duties Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer with an Automatic transmission, across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Transport cargo with precision and care. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight delivery details, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory requirements. Communicate professionally with our team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Ability to work our 4 day work week (M-Thu) Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license; previous delivery driver experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when required. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and transportation operations. Ability to, at times, perform physical tasks associated with truck driving duties including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
