Yard Technician

Job Overview:

The Yard Technician position is responsible for the following: Inspecting and filling portable propane tanks Performing maintenance of propane tanks including revalving, repairing, draining, sanding, and painting Maintaining outdoor tank storage areas and moving tanks and equipment when necessary

Responsibilities and Duties:

Inspects and fills portable propane tanks Maintains, repairs, and refurbishes propane tanks and equipment Performs maintenance and upkeep of outdoor tank storage areas Understands all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes pertaining to the maintenance of tanks and propane equipment Acts as liaison between customers and service branches to address questions, concerns, or complaints Educates customers on safe and proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED Relevant experience preferred Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing

Competencies:

Communication Technical and mechanical skills Capable of working independently

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.

Travel:

Travel expectation outside of service area is approximately 5%
