Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Operator to join our dynamic Paving team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of trailered equipment that will need unloaded. . Your expertise will help keep projects on schedule while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to building excellence in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently across various construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic regulations. Load and unload materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction aggregates accurately and securely. Haul trailored equiptment then unload equipment on proper site. Conduct pre-operation inspections of dump trucks, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires to ensure optimal functioning. Coordinate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators to facilitate smooth material movement and project progress. Maintain detailed records of loads transported, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs for each vehicle. Assist with basic maintenance tasks on dump trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs. Follow all environmental guidelines related to material handling and disposal procedures. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and related equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, horizontal drilling machinery, tankers, and paving equipment. Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license suitable for operating heavy machinery. Skilled in operating various construction equipment including Caterpillar machinery and other heavy equipment used on construction sites. Extensive construction site experience with an understanding of safety standards and operational procedures. Ability to operate additional machinery such as graders, water trucks, dozers, loaders, backhoes, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving equipment as needed. Knowledge of maintenance procedures for heavy equipment to ensure longevity and safety. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site supervisors.
