Our experienced e-waste professionals provide the personalized resale and disposal solutions you need throughout all of your IT logistical transitions. Our electronic waste services are structured to provide you with the peace of mind that all of your IT equipment, hard drives and other devices have been properly disposed of, ensuring the security of sensitive information. The primary function is to load and operate a 28-foot, non-commercial truck with a liftgate and to transport electronic assets from specified client locations according to the client manifest. The candidate must understand, or will be trained in, the best way to pack items such as computers, servers, monitors, network equipment, and other computer and electronic-related material. They will place the equipment in large boxes and move using dollies, or load pallets and secure them for safe transport. Assist in general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities include:
1. Coordinate with dispatch to pick up, transfer, and deploy electronic assets and equipment according to the client manifest (order). 2. Palletize, load, secure for transit, transport, and unload freight in a manner that adheres to all required safety and quality standards. 3. Load and unload computer and server equipment, pack, wrap, and protect the goods. 4. Assist in loading, unloading, and securing equipment. 5. Maintain all motor vehicle logs, documentation, and driving standards as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT), federal/state authorities, and the company. 6. Regularly inspect all assigned equipment and hardware and report repair and/or maintenance requests to Dispatch. 7. Maintain the vehicle in a clean and fueled state of readiness. 8. Assist in general warehouse duties. 9. Perform other duties as may be assigned. Requirements ▪ Good knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the transportation industry, including DOT regulations. ▪ Current motor vehicle license as required by the Department of Transportation, federal, and/or state requirements for the type of equipment assigned to the driver. ▪ Must be at least 21 years old. ▪ Must have a clean driving record showing no accidents in a two (2) year period and no more than two (2) moving violations in the same period. ▪ Ability to regularly stand, lift, bend, stretch, reach above the head, and kneel during a shift assignment that could last between 8 and 14 hours. ▪ Ability to safely use material handling tools and equipment and to push and pull wheeled dollies and/or carts with freight containing up to 100 lbs or more during a shift assignment that could last between 8 and 14 hours. ▪ Ability to safely palletize, load, transfer, and unload pallets and skids (must be able to regularly lift to 85 pounds). ▪ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detailed, and deadline-sensitive environment. ▪ Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and listening skills. ▪ Excellent customer service skills. ▪ Ability to read and follow road maps and operate a GPS. ▪ Prior forklift experience is a must. ▪ Computer proficiency is a must.
