Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Trash Route Helper to assist the driver on a daily specified collection route, Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturday hours. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to work in a team environment in all weather conditions. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading trash containers onto collection vehicles Support the driver in navigating assigned routes efficiently and safely Help with the manual collection of trash from residential or commercial locations Ensure proper handling of waste materials to prevent spillage or hazards Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment during shifts Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while on route Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress or issues Requirements 18+ Years of Age Valid driver's license Early morning start times Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50+ lbs, moving, and manual handling of waste containers Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods Must pass pre-employment physical/drug/alcohol screen and adhere to safety standards This position provides valuable experience in waste collection operations with opportunities for skill development. Opportunity for CDL permit, driver training and equipment handling available.
