Job Description

Overview RJ Davis is hiring for Yard Jockeys in Manchester, PA, where you will play a vital role in efficiently managing the movement and positioning of trucks within our yard. This energetic position involves maneuvering tractor-trailers and various freight vehicles with precision and safety, ensuring smooth operations across our distribution center. As a Yard Jockey, you'll be the backbone of our logistics flow, and maintaining a safe, organized yard environment. Your expertise in truck driving and familiarity with different trailer types will help us deliver excellence every day. Schedules 1 driver Monday thru Friday 1000 - 1900 (Saturday work available) 1 driver Monday thru Friday 0400 - 1200 (Saturday work available) Responsibilities Drive trucks to transport trailers between docks, storage areas, and designated yard locations efficiently Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to ensure safety standards are met and report any mechanical issues promptly Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, and yard activities for operational tracking Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations within the yard to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment Experience Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or delivery trucks with manual transmissions Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) Strong knowledge of truck safety procedures and vehicle maintenance routines Join us to be part of an energetic team committed to operational excellence!
