Job Description

Description:
Tague Lumber is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Box Truck Driver to operate our well-maintained fleet and deliver building materials to local job sites. This position plays a key role in ensuring customers receive their orders safely, accurately, and on time. Drivers are expected to provide professional service, safely load and unload materials, and maintain compliance with all company safety policies and traffic regulations. This role requires the manual loading and unloading of building materials , including lifting, carrying, and moving products of varying sizes and weights. Drivers must be comfortable performing physical labor throughout the workday and working in a variety of weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have previous box truck driving experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Previous box truck driving experience, preferably in building materials Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Ensure all materials are properly secured for transport Inspect and process customer returns according to company procedures Operate a forklift (maintain certification) and/or pallet jack as needed Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure required preventive maintenance is completed on assigned vehicles Maintain compliance with all safety policies and DOT regulations Qualifications Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening Acceptable driving record Ability to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate (Med Card) Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
