We are seeking a dependable driver who will represent our company well while interacting with customers, contractors, and the public. This is a construction‑based driving role, and seasonal winter slowdowns should be expected. Benefits remain active during slow periods. Manual transmission experience is required. Position Overview We are looking for a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver with at least one year of experience, preferably in construction or off‑road environments. This role involves transporting pre‑cast concrete wall panels to job sites and assisting with unloading. Drivers climb a ladder approximately 15 feet to attach crane rigging and support the set crew as needed. This is a home‑daily position with no weekend runs . The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating job sites, following ground guides, and communicating effectively with crane operators and crew members. Drivers work outdoors in all weather conditions and must be strong team contributors. Key Responsibilities Perform required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections Ensure loads are properly strapped and secure Operate Class A truck/trailer in on‑road and off‑road environments Assist crane operator with rigging during unloading Support set‑crew tasks as needed Prepare empty trailers for return to the plant Transport decked trailers Refuel and clean assigned vehicle Report incidents to Field Operations Manager/Site & Crew Coordinator Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols Report mechanical issues to the garage Maintain current CDL and medical certificate Provide accurate hand signals to crane operators Maintain DOT‑compliant logs and documentation Maneuver trucks safely into unloading positions Couple/uncouple trailers and connect/disconnect air/electrical lines Remove debris from trailers as needed Qualifications Valid Class A CDL Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience (construction/off‑road preferred) Current medical card High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication skills Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance Core Competencies Strong time‑management and navigation skills Ability to remain focused and undistracted while driving Safe, courteous driving habits Quick decision‑making and situational awareness Commitment to proper load securement Awareness of load weight, job site access, and excavation hazards Working Conditions Outdoor work in all weather conditions (cold, wet, humid, fumes, vibration) Moderate noise levels in field environments Uneven ground on job sites Physical Requirements Ability to wear required PPE (hard hat, work boots, harness) Ability to climb in/out of truck cab Ability to climb a ladder up to 15 feet Ability to bend, balance, walk, and use hands/arms effectively Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, color, and focus Additional Information This job description provides a general overview of duties and responsibilities and is not an exhaustive list.
