Job Description
Job Summary C.H.&D. Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver capable of safely hauling heavy equipment to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of equipment transport, load securement, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced construction or equipment-hauling environment. Key Responsibilities
- Transport heavy equipment, machinery, and materials to various job sites.
- Operate trucks with trailers, including lowboy, flatbed, step deck, or similar hauling equipment.
- Load, chain, bind, and secure equipment in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation.
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle. Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license required.
- Must be over 21 years old.
- Experience hauling heavy equipment strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements.
- Ability to safely operate manual and/or automatic transmission trucks.
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
- TWIC card, tanker endorsement, hazmat endorsement, or oversized-load experience is a plus, but not required unless applicable. Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb on and off trailers and equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle chains, binders, straps, and other securement equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to sit, drive, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Benefits
