Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver orders promptly and accurately. Load and unload food items using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Follow designated routes using mobile devices or GPS systems, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine inspections and basic maintenance checks. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns courteously. Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes while maintaining safety at all times. Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or manual handling of supplies. Qualifications Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or van driver roles involving route driving. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is desirable. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices for manual handling tasks. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently; comfortable with manual handling and moving items as needed. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices is advantageous. Reliable mobile device usage for route navigation and communication.
