Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Resident Transport Driver/Maintenance Worker, where your energy and dedication will directly impact resident care and safety. In this vital role, you will facilitate the safe and efficient maintenance of the facility, and transport of residents, ensuring comfort and dignity at every step. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will support clinical teams, enhance resident experiences, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols. Duties Safely transport residents to external facilities using proper patient transfer methods and equipment Assist with resident safety measures during transport, including securing residents with appropriate safety devices and monitoring their condition Follow infection control procedures and isolation precautions to prevent cross-contamination during patient transport Communicate effectively with caregivers, clinical staff, and residents to coordinate transport plans and address individual needs Utilize manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices to manage heavy or awkward loads without risking injury Implement de-escalation techniques when assisting anxious or distressed residents to ensure a calm environment Maintain accurate documentation of resident transfers, safety checks, and transport logs in accordance with facility policies Experience Previous experience in maintenance or a skilled nursing facility setting is highly desirable Familiarity with patient transport, manual handling, and infection control protocols is essential Basic life support (BLS) certification, including CPR training, is preferred; critical care transport experience is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology and skilled nursing facility safety procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and healthcare professionals •Pay based on experience. •Must possess a valid driver's license This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a difference in resident care through compassionate service and meticulous attention to safety.
