Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, and flatbeds, across diverse routes. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure the timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and report any issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route adjustments or address delivery issues promptly. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record. Must be at least 25 years old, have 5 years driving experience, and be able to pass a drug test. TWIC card preferred. Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading procedures. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations essential for compliance. Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred; ability to operate trucks with manual handling skills required. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
