April 26 - October (End of Season), Monday-Saturday 5-6 hours per day
Location:
Yellowstone National Park Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Independent Contractor to service a privately owned USPS delivery route within Yellowstone National Park. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to work in one of the most iconic natural environments in the United States while operating a dedicated mail route. Key Responsibilities Safely and efficiently deliver USPS mail and packages along an assigned route within Yellowstone National Park Perform daily route operations in accordance with USPS standards and contractual requirements Load, organize, and manage mail for delivery Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation Communicate with management regarding route conditions, delays, or issues Ensure vehicle is operated safely and maintained in good working condition Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check (required for USPS contract work) Reliable transportation (if contractor-supplied vehicle is required) Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable driving in varying weather and terrain conditions Preferred Qualifications Prior delivery or logistics experience Familiarity with rural or park-based routes Experience operating cargo vans or similar vehicles Work Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, wildlife presence) Physical activity required (lifting packages, entering/exiting vehicle frequently) Scenic and remote work environment within Yellowstone National Park Compensation Contract-based pay (details provided upon inquiry) Potential for consistent seasonal income Unique work setting in a nationally recognized park Additional Information This is a seasonal independent contractor role running from April 26 through October. Contractors are responsible for complying with all contractual obligations and maintaining professional service standards.
