In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, proper load handling, and adherence to safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to the smooth flow of goods and services. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Follow designated routes accurately while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. Deliver freight efficiently to multiple locations, ensuring timely arrivals and proper handling of goods. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered on the road. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and operating various vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. Strong knowledge of freight handling, load securing, and route driving best practices. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other equipment when required. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic regulations. Experience with delivery driver operations including route planning and time management.
