Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Driver specializing in local routes with BIG OT opportunities! This energetic role is perfect for experienced commercial drivers eager to maximize their earnings through consistent, local deliveries and overtime. You'll be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on local delivery routes, including dry vans and refrigerated trailers Load and unload freight efficiently using hand trucks and pallet jacks. This is a very physical job with 10-15 stops per day Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing efficiency Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain truck safety standards Document delivery details accurately, including logs of hours driven, cargo handled, and route information Maintain professionalism during interactions with clients and team members, providing excellent customer service during deliveries Occasional overnight (once every two weeks or so) to help provide roster flexibility Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and recent experience in commercial truck driving Knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck unloading procedures Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient local deliveries Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction Embark on a rewarding driving career where your skills are valued!
