Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial box truck along assigned routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT regulations Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as a pallet jack Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with maintenance schedules, as per USDOT and FMCSA regulations Deliver goods to customers promptly, providing excellent customer service and addressing any delivery-related inquiries or issues Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery logs, manifests, and electronic mobile device records Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries Communicate effectively with dispatchers, owner and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or delivery challenges What we're looking for Minimum 1 year of verifiable box truck / OTR driving experience Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or warehouse worker with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation Willing and able to run OTR for at least 3+ weeks at a time Solid understanding of freight delivery processes Comfortable handling BOLs, Rate Confirmations (RCs), and other standard freight paperwork Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (No CDL required) Strong knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling standards in the workplace Ability to perform lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes Experience with route driving using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes Demonstrated customer service skills during interactions with clients Physical capability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and perform manual handling tasks throughout shifts Must possess a valid DOT medical certificate (medical card) as required by FMCSA for commercial drivers Preferred Qualifications Experience with dry van or box truck freight specifically Familiarity with load boards and dispatch communication Strong time management and independent problem-solving skills This role offers an energetic work environment where your driving expertise makes a direct impact on our operations.
