Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Medical Transportation Driver to transport elderly and medically fragile patients to and from healthcare facilities. This role requires excellent patient care skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. Schedule Early morning start times, sometimes as early as 4:00 AM Saturday availability is required Long workdays with varying hours depending on patient schedules Responsibilities Safely transport elderly and medically fragile patients to medical appointments and healthcare facilities. Assist patients with transfers from bed to stretcher, stretcher to wheelchair, and into the transport van. Safely load and secure stretchers and wheelchairs in the vehicle. Operate the transport vehicle safely while following all traffic laws and company policies. Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout transport. Complete vehicle inspections before and after each shift. Maintain accurate transport documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and healthcare staff. Qualifications Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and assist patients safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Patient, compassionate, and respectful when working with elderly and disabled individuals. Excellent driving record and safe driving habits. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to patient needs. Dependable, punctual, and flexible with early morning starts and extended work hours. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, push, and pull patients, stretchers, and wheelchairs. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Capable of safely assisting patients weighing up to company lifting guidelines, with or without assistance.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
