Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you'll operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to ensure timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will keep our logistics moving smoothly. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques, managing logistics cargo handling for various types of freight including hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and specialty loads like refrigerated goods or tanker liquids. Navigate using GPS systems to optimize delivery routes while maintaining punctuality and safety at all times. Transport automobile parts or vehicles via specialized trailers such as flatbeds or enclosed carriers, ensuring secure loading and unloading. Handle truck loading and unloading processes with attention to safety protocols for hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Maintain accurate documentation for each shipment, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance records. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report issues promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction through professional service. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and other specialized equipment. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety standards for dangerous goods transportation. Experience in route driving across long distances with a focus on safety and efficiency. Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route planning. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently while adhering to all safety protocols. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for various freight types including refrigerated goods and hazardous materials.
