Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck and Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks and commercial trucks to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. You will handle loading, unloading, and transporting items while ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and safety standards. Your dedication to excellent customer service and adherence to delivery schedules will help us maintain our reputation for prompt, professional service. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. Assist with warehouse operations including material handling, inventory management, and moving goods within the facility as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups, addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety, proper functioning, and compliance with all safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and vehicle maintenance records. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or commercial truck driving preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks and commercial trucks with manual transmissions is highly desirable. Familiarity with DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices. Ability to manually handle heavy loads using manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic regulations, and adherence to safety protocols. Experience with mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude at all times. Physical ability to lift heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift while maintaining safe lifting techniques. Prior experience in courier services or load & unload operations is a plus. You will also be expected to work on the floor while waiting for work do be completed for delivery.
