Job Description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To effectively extend timely and courteous customer service to associates/clients. To encourage and promote a mutual associate/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of Goodwill Industries. To represent Goodwill in a professional manner to reflect values and standards of its mission and goals, SPECIFICRESPONSIBILITIES
1. To offer excellent customer service when making a delivery to stores or picking up at donation centers, drop boxes, and when in contact with the general public. 2. To obey all traffic regulations while acting in this function. 3. To perform DOT safety inspection of all vehicles before and after trips. 4. To load and unload trucks and trailers in a safe efficient manner. 5. To learn and exercise best methods and work practices for safety in loading and unloading all materials. 6. To maintain accurate records of daily activities, including pick-ups, mileage, and receipts. 7. To supervise and train truck driver helpers. 8. To keep equipment in best working order through regular maintenance program and to report any problems to the Operations Manager. 9. To perform general housekeeping, custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled and assigned. 10. To perform all other duties that may be assigned.Responsible to:
Operations Manager Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read and write. Some formal driving training is helpful.Work Experience:
Minimum of six months within the last 5 years, experience in handling all types of vehicles. Must have current and valid driver's license with limited points for driving violations. Prefer Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A but not required.Physical Requirements:
Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting (up to 100 pounds), carrying (up to 50 pounds), pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors.Safety & Security:
Safety shoes and back support required. Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately. Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time. If you should need medical treatment during your non-work hours, you should contact your supervisor. 7:00AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday; may work weekends or whatever hours are required to meet the professional requirements of the job.Work Attire:
