Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The licensed truck driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This position is tasked with safe driving and maintaining the truck they are operating according to the laws and guidelines set forth, as well as working closely with the team to plan routes and track deliveries. A Class A CDL or commercial driver license is required. Successful candidates must have a clean driving record and must pass a drug and alcohol test.REPORTS TO

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- None
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow all traffic laws.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Record cargo deliveries.
- Refuel and clean vehicle.
- Report road incidents.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
- Follow accident procedures.
- Report mechanical problems.
- Familiar with oversized loads and tie-down requirements.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods), as well as company policies and procedures
- Meet delivery schedules.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
- Maintain a positive attitude and good communication with customers.
- Require minimal supervision.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma
- Valid and current Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
- Must pass drug and alcohol test according to DOT guidelines.
- No serious moving violations in last 3 years.
- Must provide an up-to-date medical certificate.
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 5 years.
- Listening and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
- Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with oversized loads preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years verifiable experience in a similar role.
TRAVEL, HOURS OF WORK AND SUPERVISION
- Able to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(including but not limited to):- Able to bend, crouch, twist, pull.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at times.
- Must be able to sit in truck for long periods of time.
- Must be able to get in/out of truck frequently
