    Spherion Staffing is seeking an experienced Warehouse Material Handler & Class A CDL Driver in Sioux Falls.

This dual-purpose role is responsible for managing warehouse inventory, operating material handling equipment, processing waste/recycling, and making local deliveries using company straight trucks and tractor-trailers. Safety, attention to detail, and self-direction are critical to success in this position. Wage $25-27/hour

DOE Responsibilities:
Logistics & Driving:
  • Operate straight trucks and tractor-trailers to transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment between facilities and local accounts.
  • Perform safe hookups and load deliveries to local distribution centers.
Warehouse Operations & Inventory:
  • Receive, stage, bin-locate, and ship raw materials and finished goods.
  • Process accurate paperwork for all receiving, storage, and shipping activities.
  • Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, standup lifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Prepare outbound loads using stretch wrapping and banding equipment.
  • Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
Waste & Recycling Support:

Collect, shred, and bale scrapped or waste materials to support plant recycling initiatives.

Facility Maintenance & Safety:
  • Maintain clean, organized warehouse work areas.
  • Promptly notify the Warehouse Lead of any equipment needing repairs.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety rules and policies.

High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:
Licensing & Experience:
  • Valid Class A CDL license required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior warehouse dock experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
  • Basic math skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. frequently.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and vehicle controls.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment for up to 100% of a shift.
