Job Overview Join our team as a Residential Helper on a Garbage Truck and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and healthy communities. In this energetic position, you will assist with waste collection operations, support truck drivers, and ensure efficient handling of residential refuse. Your proactive attitude and physical stamina will help keep neighborhoods tidy while providing excellent service to residents. Duties Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading waste containers from residential properties, ensuring proper handling and placement Support the operation of rear load garbage trucks. Perform manual lifting of trash bins and debris, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting Help with the safe loading and securing of waste materials on different truck types during collection routes Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards Follow established safety procedures during all activities to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with regulations Support the driver in navigating routes efficiently while maintaining a focus on customer service and community respect Skills Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic troubleshooting or equipment adjustments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday Strong understanding of load & unload procedures for various waste containers and materials This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy physical work, teamwork, and contributing to community well-being.
