Job Description

Duties:
Delivers material according to dispatch schedule and route, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle, ensuring it is in safe operating condition. Maintains accurate electronic log of hours worked and deliveries made, adhering to company policies and DOT regulations. Communicates effectively with dispatchers, customers, sales, and management regarding delivery status, traffic conditions, and any delays. Coordinates with customer to have material unloaded or performs unloading at customer site. Maintains vehicles' interior and exterior and alerts company of any equipment problems Collects money from customer when necessary Maintains commercial driver's license, forklift certification, and DOT health card. Participates in pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures. Reacts productively to change and handles other essential tasks as assigned Knowledge, skills and abilities: Good driving record (MVR), CDL, ability to handle money, ability to follow pre-determined schedule but make sound decision for change when necessary, good sense of orientation and map reading ability.
Experience:
2-3 years experience in a similar position required Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 60-70 pounds and operate ratchet bar to tighten load. Position requires walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and driving.
