Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated Class B CDL Driver to join our team and contribute to municipal waste management operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate various commercial trucks, including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks, while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction on every route. Duties Safely operate Class B commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, and roll-off vehicles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws Load and unload waste materials using appropriate equipment like front-end loaders or manual methods Drive route-specific schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Perform routine inspections of vehicles, including air brake systems and mechanical components, to ensure optimal operation Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including route details, load weights, and service records Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries Follow hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste streams (if applicable) Skills Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial trucks such as garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures for outdoor work environments Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance checks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during loading/unloading processes Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during pickups or drop-offs Solid understanding of solid waste management practices and municipal waste protocols Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and air brake systems is highly desirable Join our team to make a difference in waste management operations!
