Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Long Haul Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across various regions. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including manual transmission and specialized trailers, will be essential to maintaining our high standards of safety and service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to travel, manage diverse cargo loads, and contribute to the smooth flow of goods nationwide. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated items, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers such as dump trucks and roll-off trucks Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring secure handling and proper documentation Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while considering weather conditions, road closures, and traffic patterns Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records in compliance with federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles and specific trailer types such as refrigerated or tanker loads Proven experience in truck driving, especially in long-haul or route driving roles involving freight transportation Familiarity with operating various truck types including flatbed trucks, dump trucks, tanker trucks, and roll-off trucks Ability to handle freight load & unload procedures safely and efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan routes effectively for timely deliveries Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road Join us if you're ready to take your trucking career to new heights!
