The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in operating tractor-trailers. This role involves ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Duties Operate a tractor-trailer in a safe and professional manner. Execute route driving to deliver goods efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Navigate routes effectively using GPS or maps while being aware of road conditions. Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during operation. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers and flatbeds is advantageous. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is highly desirable. Strong understanding of route driving principles and logistics management. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and dispatch.
