Job Description
Job Summary Driving company truck and trailer to trailer dealer locations. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with manual or automatic transmissions, including tractor-trailers, and 1 Ton Hotshot. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery schedules for over the road (OTR) driving routes and local deliveries Deliver loads accurately to designated locations, verifying delivery details and obtaining signatures Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and incident documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations Ensure that all stacking material is brought back to factory and secured Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers and 1 ton preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments Familiarity with flatbed trucks, and/or 1 Ton trucks Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT rules Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling equipment is a plus Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and freight management Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes or local deliveries This position offers an environment where your driving skills will directly impact our operational success.
