Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently and reliably across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, coupled with your commitment to safety and customer service, will ensure timely deliveries and uphold our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, maintenance needs, and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports to track shipments and vehicle usage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with the setup of specialized loads such as refrigerated goods or tanker shipments when necessary. Experience Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles with a focus on freight delivery. Familiarity with operating different types of trucks including manual transmission vehicles, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Prior experience in load & unload operations and route driving is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type; specific endorsements such as tanker or flatbed are a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading cargo.
