In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating large commercial trucks over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across various regions. Your expertise in handling flatbed, will be vital to maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to efficient supply chain operations. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks across long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and security Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while considering road conditions and restrictions Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips Experience Five years proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on long-haul routes and route driving responsibilities Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Prior experience handling flatbed double drop and step decks. Familiarity with load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods in compliance with safety protocols Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
