Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team, responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our supply chain operations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent route planning abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards on the road. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering goods securely and on schedule, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational success. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely delivery while optimizing routes for efficiency. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured and compliant with hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations during transportation activities. Transport refrigerated goods, dangerous goods, or other freight types while maintaining product integrity and safety standards. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Document delivery details accurately, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and compliance reports. Maintain professionalism by providing excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups at various locations. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with route driving and delivery driving roles. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling and securement techniques. Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training provided if necessary. Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record; endorsements such as Hazmat or Tanker are advantageous. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems efficiently in diverse environments. Strong manual handling skills for cargo loading/unloading operations in compliance with safety standards.
