Home daily Job Summary BVR Waste & Recycling, a division of Brannon Industrial Group, a family-owned leader in waste management and recycling services, is hiring an experienced Commercial Front-Load Garbage Truck Driver in Brenham, Texas. In this role, you will safely operate a front-load collection truck along an assigned commercial route. You will provide dependable waste collection service, complete required vehicle inspections and reports, and interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and experienced in operating heavy commercial vehicles. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial front-load garbage truck along an assigned local route. Service each customer according to route sheets, maps, and dispatcher or supervisor instructions. Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Inspect tires, fluid levels, gauges, controls, and safety equipment before operating the vehicle. Document vehicle conditions and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly. Operate manual and automatic controls to lift and empty commercial waste containers. Operate the compactor and transport collected material to the designated disposal facility. Follow all company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and coworkers. Complete route sheets, productivity reports, vehicle condition reports, and other required documentation. Monitor the truck throughout the shift to help ensure it remains safe and operational. Identify damaged or unsatisfactory containers and tag them according to company procedures. Perform minor container repairs when needed. Clean up accidental waste spills according to established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and professional work environment. Meet established safety, service, and productivity expectations. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake qualification . At least two years of experience operating heavy trucks. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to safely operate a commercial front-load collection vehicle. Ability to read route sheets, follow maps, and complete required documentation. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor container repairs. Ability to work independently and complete assigned routes efficiently. Reliable transportation to and from the Brenham work location.
