Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
: The Zamboni Driver position is responsible for performing all duties associated with maintaining high level ice conditions. This position is not eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct proper ice maintenance (edging, ice resurfacing, potential Zamboni maintenance) Ensure equipment and systems are running properly with daily checks Measure and record ice depth readings to ensure quality ice conditions Prepare ice for practices, games, and other ice events Assist in the installation and removal process of the ice surface Help with any other general maintenance around the arena as needed
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
(Not required, but a plus) Experience working around hockey ice in any capacity Assist in Zamboni blade changing Forklift certified preferred, not required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Prior ice resurfacing experience recommended A minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience, sport and concert venue experience is a plus Must be able to work evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays as required Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays Must be able to safely and efficiently operate equipment and power tools Physical Demands and Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
