Job Description

CDL Route Driver - $1,000/Week - Home Daily + Bonuses We are a locally owned waste company looking for a dependable Class A or B CDL driver to run a side-load dumpster route in the China Spring/Waco area. This is a full-time, home-daily position. Once familiar with the route, drivers typically work approximately 35-45 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
PAY & BONUSES
$1,000 per week $1,000 retention bonus after 180 days of continuous employment in good standing $250 quarterly safety bonus — up to an additional $1,000 per year Paid holidays when the landfill is closed 1 week paid vacation after 1 year Home every day
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday Typical start time between 4:00-6:00 AM Most routes are completed within 35-45 hours per week once learned Occasional weekend or holiday work may be required
JOB DUTIES
This position involves operating a side-load garbage truck servicing commercial dumpsters throughout the local area.
The driver will:
Safely operate a commercial side-load truck Service approximately 3-yard commercial dumpsters along an established route Enter and exit the truck approximately 20-40+ times per day Inspect the truck and equipment and report problems Perform basic/light maintenance when needed Safely maneuver around businesses, parking lots and customer property Maintain dependable and consistent attendance Previous garbage or side-load experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right CDL driver.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must: Be 25 years of age or older Have a valid Class A or Class B CDL Have held a CDL for at least 2 years Have a clean driving record with no recent at-fault accidents or moving violations Have or be able to obtain a current DOT medical card Pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug testing Have reliable transportation to and from work Have a working cell phone Be physically capable of getting in and out of the truck repeatedly throughout the workday Have basic knowledge of trucks/equipment and be willing to perform minor maintenance when necessary Be dependable and able to report to work on time for early-morning routes
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who wants a long-term position, takes care of equipment, works safely and can be depended on to show up and get the route completed. This is not an over-the-road position. You are home every day, and once you know the route, the normal workweek is generally 35-45 hours.
