Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices, optimizing travel time and fuel consumption Deliver packages directly to customers' homes or businesses with professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service skills Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations Accurately document delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and update delivery statuses via mobile devices or handheld scanners Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and operating material handling equipment handle the weight of up to 150lbs with the assistance of a dolly Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on route driving and customer service excellence Warehouse experience combined with knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while following manual handling procedures Strong understanding of commercial driving requirements, including manual transmission operation and adherence to traffic laws Familiarity with DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices for commercial trucks or box trucks Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members Competence in using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication purposes Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
