Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to, operating manual transmission vehicles, trailers. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles for the delivery of freight. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo details. Navigate routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving. Utilize forklifts or other equipment as necessary for loading and unloading tasks. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with operating various types of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers. Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of logistics and delivery processes. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
