Uber is seeking a reliable Transport Driver Class B to move goods safely and efficiently across the region. You'll operate Class B vehicles, complete timely pickups and deliveries, and use Uber's technology to track routes and documentation. Responsibilities include loading and unloading freight, conducting safety inspections, and complying with DOT and local regulations. In Uber's fast-paced, data-driven culture, you'll collaborate with operations teams, solve real-time logistics challenges, and help improve how goods move at scale. Responsibilities Safely operate Class B vehicles to transport goods between hubs, warehouses, and customer locations Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical or safety issues promptly Load and unload freight using proper equipment and securement techniques Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to traffic and road conditions Use Uber's mobile and onboard technology to track deliveries and maintain digital logs Comply with DOT, state, and local transportation regulations and company safety policies Communicate professionally with dispatch, operations, and customers regarding ETAs and issues Maintain clean, organized vehicles and accurate documentation for deliveries and inspections Report incidents, delays, or route deviations and assist with basic troubleshooting on the road Participate in ongoing safety, compliance, and performance training Required Skills Commercial driving (Class B vehicles) Route planning and navigation apps DOT and FMCSA compliance knowledge Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Freight loading/unloading and securement Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Defensive and safe driving techniques Time management and on-time delivery Basic documentation and record-keeping Customer and dispatcher communication
